Ubiquity

Wi-Fi routers, smartphones and cell towers are everywhere. With plans to link every digital network on the planet by 2020, connectivity will soon become ubiquitous. People will no longer commute, they’ll communicate, using technology that ties us all together, anywhere and everywhere. For some people, the expanding digital network is a tightening noose of health risks associated with electromagnetic radiation. Three “electro sensitives” who endure electro-hypersensitivity in Japan, Sweden and the Netherlands share their experiences evading connectivity, running out of safe spaces and making radical life choices that cause conflict with family and friends. Are these “electro sensitives” outliers or canaries in the coal mine of our modern world, warning humanity that the wireless technologies intended to promote ease are actually causing disease?

Children and Wireless: Wi-Fried by ABC Catalyst

You cannot see it or hear it but Wi-Fi blankets our homes, our schools, and our cities. Australia’s safety agency says there’s no evidence of harm, but that’s not the same as saying it’s safe. A growing number of scientists are concerned that the widespread use of Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi-enabled devices could be slowly making us sick. In this Catalyst investigation, Dr. Maryanne Demasi explores whether our wireless devices could be putting our health at risk.

After this documentary on Wi-Fi health concerns aired, backlash from unknown sources called for the program to be pulled off the Internet. Not only was the show taken down but ABC Catalyst reporter Dr. Maryanne Demasi was fired along with the entire show. Experts who had declined interviews decried “fringe” science.

Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Connected World

Oscar®-nominated Wener Herzog’s 98-minute documentary is divided into ten parts, featuring a narration by Herzog including an array of internet experts, scientists, and even Elon Musk. It includes a woman living in Greenbank with electrical sensitivity.

It starts at “ground zero” of the modern internet’s beginnings on the campus of UCLA, when on October 29, 1969, the first ARPANET message was sent some 400 miles away to the Stanford Research Institute.  The film chronicles the virtual world from it’s origins to it’s outermost reaches, exploring the digital landscape with the same curiosity and imagination he previously trained on earthly destinations. Herzog leads viewers on a journey through a series of provocative conversations that reveal the ways in which the online world has transformed how virtually everything in the real world works – from business to education, space travel to healthcare, and the very heart of how we conduct our personal relationships.

The film is availible on numerous platforms.

Resonance

The first documentary to investigate the actual mechanisms by which mobile phone technology can cause cancer. The film takes a deeper look at how humanity is reacting to the most profound environmental change the planet has ever seen.

“Mauvaises Ondes” (Bad Waves)

According to Mocrowave News, “the documentary also raises questions about the transparency of ICNIRP in terms of its failure to reveal its members’ ties to industry, notably those of Bernard Veyret. It also features a rare interview with Pierre Aubineau, a French researcher, who had a falling out with Veyret over his paper showing RF-induced leakage through the blood-brain barrier (see MWN, N/D01, p.1). Aubineau has accused Veyret of trying to suppress his paper, much like de Seze stands accused of delaying Batellier’s. Aubineau’s paper has never been formally pubished other than as a conference abstract.”

Microwave News continues, “The day after the broadcast  the French telecom industry association, called the documentary “biased” and an exercise in “disinformation.” FTT’s four-page letter to the president of French Televisions does not address the charges leveled against de Seze.”

In Search of A White Zone

French Film. Marina Richard, who testified in the film, is one of the very first people in France whose electrosensitivity is officially recognized as a disability.

Who are these electro-hypersensitive people that the media talk about from time to time? Alerted to these questions by a friend who had herself become electrosensitive, the director of this film conducted the investigation for more than two years and met almost everywhere in France but also abroad about sixty “EHS” that is to say people who have become electro-hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields.

Twenty years ago this phenomenon did not exist, today it is global. What the investigation will also show is that the serious symptoms described by the EHS curiously resemble those of the “microwave syndrome” encountered in radar professionals. However, the technologies are similar, and the deleterious effects have already been documented for 50 years!

Searching for a Golden Cage

Time (2014) A film by Nadav Neuhaus: Focuses on just one of the many life-changing consequences of too much exposure to wireless technology — electromagnetic sensitivity.

“IS RADIATION THE ASBESTOS OF THE 21ST CENTURY?”

Is radiation the asbestos of the 21st century? is a documentary that investigates the effects of cellular and wifi radiation on the body. The main character is the Electro Hypersensitive (EHS) Dennis Rietbergen.  We follow Dennis in his search for answers to questions like: How bad is radiation? How do people deal with their health issues? What does the government do to reduce the dangers of radiation? Dennis talks with scientists, doctors, and EHS patients to get a clear picture of the effects of radiation on humans. Dennis also tries to talk with major telecom providers and the Dutch government.

CBC Investigative Reports

Award-winning investigative CBC reporter Wendy Mesley has reported on cell phones and industry involvement in several CBC investigations over the last decade. Please watch all three investigations below:

Frontline: Currents of Fear Powerline ELF-EMF (1995) INDUSTRY INFLUENCED

Supposed “Investigative report”  about the health hazard attributed to electromagnetic fields, featuring Dr. David Carpenter and tobacco and telecom industry funded  scientists masquearing as EMF experts. After this Congress DEFUNDED the EPA. Note at the very end they talk about the research as a complete waste of money.

This is an example of how the media has been mislead by industry.

2009 Lateline Cell Phones and Cancer

This investigation features ICNIRPs Rodney Croft and calls out his industry connections.  A must watch.

“Over half the world now pays to have a mobile phone. But any research into a link between mobile phones and brain cancer looks like ‘unfinished business’, especially with children. Some countries like France and even Finland, the home of Nokia, are changing policies on mobile phones and two leading Australian scientists have spoken out.”

Broadcast Blues

“Responding to a mandate from the Federal Communications Commission to begin broadcasting digital television signals by the fall of 1999, the affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS plan to put up a new HDTV tower on residential Lookout Mountain, 2000 feet above the city of Denver, Colorado. Residents on Lookout Mountain strongly protest the new tower claiming there is evidence that the electromagnetic radiation (EMR) levels on Lookout Mountain are too high and pose a health threat. Lookout Mountain already hosts 18 towers and more than 450 transmission devices, making it the most complex electromagnetic environment of any residential area in the United States. “No problem,” says the FCC, “the standards are acceptable and the broadcasters are in compliance.”
