Baby Monitors

Some facts about wireless baby monitors.

  • Wireless baby monitors emit microwave radiation constantly while powered on (both the base where the child is, and the component where the parent or caregiver is).
  • Most baby monitor bases have fine print warnings that the device should be at least 20 cm (8 inches) away from the body because of the radiation emissions.
  • Wireless baby monitors are not safe (even at their recommended distance) because a baby’s brain is developing and is the most vulnerable to damage from microwaves.

Research shows wireless radiation is not safe.

Peer reviewed research has demonstrated a myriad of adverse effects after wireless exposure  including increased brain cancer, DNA breaks, oxidative stress and immune dysfunction, altered brain development, sleep changes, hyperactivity, and memory problems.

Many parents are unaware these devices emit wireless radiation.

Some parents will keep the base stations by their pillow, or walk around the house with the base station in their pocket close tp their body, unaware their body is absorbing the radiation. We do not recommend this.

We invite you to share this information and raise awareness.
