A Shocking 5G Superbowl Ad !
During Sunday night’s Super Bowl, Dolly Parton pulled a cell phone out of her bra stating that she needed “to get something off my chest.” She urged people to “do it for the phones” meaning to connect to America’s 5G network so that the phones can “shine their brightest.”
T-Mobile has a new 5G advertising campaign where Dolly Parton calls on Miley Cyrus to “use her voice” to help the phones who are trapped in “a limited network.” Miley then sings “A Song for 5G Phones” as part of the new T-Mobile Campaign “Do It For the Phones.”
T-Mobile must remove this Super Bowl ad and to inform women that cell phones should stay out of the bra. Stay tuned for our next step.
Did you know? Numerous doctors recommend that people keep the phone away from the brain and body, especially the breast.
- In 2013, EHT organized a conference on cell phone radiation. Breast surgeon Dr. Lisa Bailey, former president of the American Cancer Society of California gave a lecture at the San Francisco Commonwealth club recommending women keep cell phones out of the bra.
- The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition created educational curriculum for classrooms to prevent breast cancer. Go to “Let’s Talk Prevention Classroom Module 3 Cell Phone and Wireless to download the curriculum.
- In 2017 the California Department of Health released an advisory on how to reduce cell phone radiation stating, “Carry your cell phone in a backpack, briefcase, or purse; NOT in a pocket, bra or belt holster.”
- The American Academy of Pediatrics and the North Carolina Public Health Department’s Department both state “Avoid carrying your phone against the body like in a pocket, sock, or bra. Cell phone manufacturers cannot guarantee that the amount of radiation you are absorbing will be at a safe level.”
We love Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus. Today we urge them to join us in our call for safety. The bra should be a NO cell phone zone!
- Case Reports in Medicine published reports in 2013 documenting four young women who developed unusual breast cancers located directly underneath the skin -where they placed their cell phones in their bra. EHT has now been contacted by over a dozen women.
- A 2020 case control study published in Cancer Management and Research found cell phone use significantly increased breast cancer risk, particularly in women who used phones close to their breast.
- Research in animals and humans has accumulated indicating that cell phone radio frequency radiation is a human carcinogen (Miller et al., 2018; Carlberg and Hardell 2017; Belpomme et al., 2018; Portier, 2021).
- Over 400 scientists and doctors have signed the 5G Appeal which states, “5G will substantially increase exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on top of the 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, etc. for telecommunications already in place. RF-EMF has been proven to be harmful for humans and the environment.”
What can you do?
The T-Mobile ad has over 3 million views on Instagram so far. As ironic as it is, we must get the message out on social media. Please comment on this ad and spread our message of safety. Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
