Prof. James Lin is one of the world’s most esteemed experts studying EMFs through the lens of electrical engineering, bioengineering, and physiology and biophysics. His newest article is a serious takedown of the World Health Organization’s attempt to claim that cell phones likely don’t risk the increase of cancers. A PhD in electrical engineering and professor at University of Chicago, Prof. Lin has authored or edited nine books and authored or co-authored 160 journal papers. He is a member and distinguished lecturer at the IEEE, and EHT was fortunate to have him attend its 2024 Symposium on EMF effects held at Yale University in June. The result of that amazing three-day conference will be available in a special edition of Frontiers in Public Health coming out next summer.

Prof. Lin’s article is a serious takedown of the World Health Organization’s claim that cell phones likely don’t risk the increase of brain cancers. EHT responded to the WHO’s flawed study in September in an article in TR Daily. Prof. Lin notes that the funding and methodology of the study are suspect or outright flawed, respectively. This is a short piece, a three-page article, but it is packed with details.

Prof. Lin’s article is out in the January 2025 issue of Health Matters.
