In this episode, Dr. Ronald Melnick discusses the link between cell phone use and cancer. Dr. Melnick was the Senior Toxicologist in the National Toxicology Program (NTP) at the National Institute of Health Sciences from 1980-2009. He led the design of the infamous, multimillion dollar NTP study which discovered a link between exposure to cellphone radiation (or, Radiofrequency radiation) and cancer on rats and mice.
Despite the magnitude of such a study, the FDA has stated that they do not accept the findings. As a result, Dr. Melnick and many other scientists have written extensively about the findings of the study, debunking many unfounded criticisms about it. In fact, Dr. Lennart Hardell and Dr. Michael Carlberg published a scientific commentary about the NTP study, stating “there is clear evidence that RF radiation is a human carcinogen, causing glioma and vestibular schwannoma”.
At the Michigan Wireless Forum, Dr. Ronald Melnick discusses his findings in detail, shortly after publishing the NTP study.
