The  Environmental Health Trust invites you to an evening lecture and public dialogue with renowned medical experts to discuss environmental health issues with a focus on the benefits and safer use of cell phones and wireless, as well as recent recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics on screen time.

A Scientific Update with Practical Recommendations

This interactive event will expand on the Environmental Health Trust’s successful Expert Forum on Wireless and Health, organized in coordination with the Israel Institute for Advanced Study and the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences at the Hebrew University in January 2017.

Our upcoming event is a unique opportunity for community members to speak directly with physicians well-versed in the current scientific literature regarding wireless radiation, as well as recent policy updates within the U.S. and abroad. Doctors will present recent science, answer all your questions and share medical recommendations and practical solutions to support healthy living.

Any questions, concerns, and comments will be addressed, allowing individuals to engage in meaningful and educational conversations.

Light food and beverages will be provided.

Speakers will include:

Annie J. Sasco DSc, MD, PhD, Team Leader of Epidemiology for Cancer Prevention at the school of public health of the Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 University in France and former Acting Chief of the Cancer Control Programme of the World Health Organization (WHO).

 

Iris Udasin, MD, Professor and Medical Director of Employee Health at Rutgers University Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute. Dr. Udasin directs studies of the 9/11 survivors from the World Trade Center disasters and holds a multi-year NIH grant that has linked WTC exposure and cancer.

Anthony Miller, MD, Professor Emeritus at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, and an advisor to the World Health Organization. He has served as Director of the Epidemiology Unit of the National Cancer Institute of Canada, Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics, University of Toronto, Senior Epidemiologist, International Agency for Research on Cancer, Head of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology, German Cancer Research Centre, and Consultant to the Division of Cancer Prevention, U.S. National Cancer Institute.

Devra Davis, PhD, MPH, President and Founder of the Environmental Health Trust, Director of Grant from Israel Institute for Advanced Study for Expert Forum on Wireless Radiation and Health, supported by the U.S National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences; Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical Center and the Ondokuz Mayis University Medical School, Associate Editor of Frontiers in Radiation and Health, and Founding Director of Center for Environmental Oncology, University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, and National Academy of Sciences Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology.

Marc Arazi, MD, French physician whose work led to the release of French government documents that found cell phones emit radiation levels which surpass government limits.  This scandal has received worldwide attention and been been dubbed “Phonegate.”

O’Ann Fredstrom, MD, psychiatrist in Jackson Hole is one of the local experts participating in this event.
