In a significant move, the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Board has voted 8 to 1 to amend Policy 6350, which will now prohibit cell towers on any LCPS properties where students are present. This policy change means that no new cell towers will be allowed on elementary, middle, or high school grounds for the next five years, after which the policy will be reviewed again.

That’s right—no more cell towers on elementary, middle, or high school grounds until this policy is reviewed again in 5 years!

This decision is a major win for those concerned about the potential health impacts of wireless radiation on children and their learning environments. It reflects the power of community activism, where voices advocating for student health and safety were heard loud and clear.

The policy change marks a crucial step in ensuring safer environments for students across the county, thanks to the collective efforts of concerned parents, educators, and activists.
