Our upcoming event is a unique opportunity for community members to speak directly with world-class experts well-versed in the current scientific literature regarding avoidable environmental health risks for children, including flame retardants, lead, and wireless radiation, as well as recent policy updates within the U.S. and abroad. Doctors will present recent science, answer all your questions and share recommendations and practical solutions to support healthy living.

Biography of Speakers 

Dr. Hugh Taylor

Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Yale School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital, President of American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and author of more than 500 scientific publications. Past-President of the Society for Reproductive Investigation and member of the board of Environmental Health Trust.

Dr. Taylor’s research on prenatal exposure to cell phone radiation was published in Scientific Reports. Dr. Taylor is also Professor of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental biology at Yale University.  Learn more about Dr. Hugh Taylor. 

Devra L. Davis, PhD, MPH,

President Environmental Health Trust

Dr. Davis was a founding director of the Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology of the U.S. National Research Council, National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and has worked on numerous environmental exposures, from chemicals to lead to air pollution. She is the acclaimed author of several popular books including Disconnect–the truth about cell phone radiation, 2010, awarded Silver Medal by Nautilus Books,  and National Book Award Finalist for When Smoke Ran Like Water, 2002, and more than 220 scientific publications.

 

Dr. Hillel Baldwin

Dr. Baldwin recently retired from clinical practice in neurosurgery in Tucson, AZ at the Carondelet Neurological Institute with an emphasis on complex and minimally invasive spine procedures in addition to Skull base, pituitary and brain tumor surgery. He was chairman of surgery and neurosurgery at multiple hospitals during his practice years in addition to serving as president of the Arizona Neurosurgical Society.

His interests in the health effects of radiofrequency and electromagnetic fields began about 4 years ago when his wife Jennifer was diagnosed with Electro- hypersensitivity syndrome. He now serves on the board of the Environmental Health Trust and has lectured to multiple lay and physician audiences about the health ramifications of our present electrified environment.

 

Theodora Scarato MSW

Clinical social worker and Executive Director of Environmental Health Trust. Scarato is a lead policy analyst for the  EHT database on international policy actions to reduce wireless exposures and has championed several successful efforts to protect children’s health from environmental health risks.. Her investigative work led to Prince George’s County addressing the lead contamination in their school water fountains and her advocacy on safe technology led to the MD state commission on children’s environmental health reviewing the issue and issuing recommendations on how to reduce wireless exposures in schools.

Gay Browne

Gay Browne is author of Living With A Green Heart: How to keep your body, your home and your planet healthy in an increasingly toxic world. She built the first ‘pre-LEED’ certified house in 1994 and in 2005 launched Greenopia: An Urban Dweller’s Guide to Green Living: How to shop, live and eat green in your local community.  In Fall 2022, she is launching a weekly inspirational podcast and blog series that will interview environmental heroes, telling their stories about the outstanding things they are doing in their field, to make the world a safer and healthier place.  Over the years, she has worked with many nonprofits, including being a long-term board trustee of WaterKeeper Alliance. Gay has won numerous awards, including being chosen as a 2008 EPA International Climate Protection Award.

About  Environmental Health Trust (EHT): EHT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established in Jackson Hole over ten years ago.
