Cases with metal parts may change the RF performance of the device, including its compliance with RF exposure guidelines, in a manner that has not been tested or certified.”

EHT note: Although Apple says “with no separation” this actually means with no separation between the ear and phone. The artificial ear employed in these tests is not the size of a child’s ear. The “ear” spacer used is based on an adult male ear.  The ear, hands and feet are considered “extremities” and current regulations allow the ear to absorb far higher radiation levels than the head or body.
