In Switzerland, 5G technology is making headlines. Not only are thousands of citizens protesting the rollout, but entire municipalities are effectively stalling the deployment of 5G antennas until safety measures are in place.  The cantons of Geneva, Jura, Kriens, and Neuchatel have voted to halt permits for 5G until safety is shown. 

The Financial Times has just ran an article stating,  “The Swiss Medical Association has advised caution on 5G, arguing that the most stringent legal principles should be applied because of unanswered questions about the technology’s potential to cause damage to the nervous system, or even cancers. ” The Swiss BAFU website states , “because there are various well-supported observations from research that there are other effects than thermal effects, the NISV also sets precautionary values. ”

As the realization that the marketing has jumped ahead of the technology sets in, and following an international protest day against 5G in January from South Africa to Sweden, and from Australia to America, Swiss concerns about possible health risks of this largely untested technology have brought it close to a standstill, writes Dr. Devra Davis…
