Public Briefing on Electromagnetic Radiation Exposure

June 10th event is Part of Global Campaign to Launch www.showthefineprint.org – Invitation extended by Representative Stephen L. DiNatale

Boston, MA – June ##, 2015 – The non-profit Environmental Health Trust will host a public briefing on June 10th featuring several world class experts in the area of electromagnetic (wireless) radiation. The experts will discuss new science about health risks associated with prolonged and frequent exposures, and the public’s right to know about these risks. The briefing will begin at 2 PM in room 437 of the Massachusetts State House, 24 Beacon St, Boston. The event is free and open to the general public.

This briefing is part of an overall global initiative aimed to educate the public about manufacturers’ health warnings for wireless devices. ShowTheFinePrint.org is a new campaign from the Environmental Health Trust designed to provide clear, science-based information to the public about health risks involved with wireless radiation. Currently, cell phone companies’ literature instructs consumers to distance their phones away from their bodies (the minimum required distance varies by manufacturer). The new websiteShowTheFinePrint.org provides radiation levels and warnings from all wireless devices such as phones, tablets and other devices.

Speakers:

Dr. Devra Davis, Scientist, author, and founder of the Environmental Health Trust (EHT)

Frank Clegg, CEO of Canadians for Safe Technology (C4ST) and former President of Microsoft Canada
Dr. Radhey Shyam Sharma, senior Indian government radiation expert and author

Catherine Steiner-Adair author of The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships in the Digital Age

Janet Newton, President of EMR Policy Institute

About Environmental Health Trust

Environmental Health Trust (EHT) is the only organization in the world that is both conducting cutting edge research on cell phone radiation and public health campaigns to raise awareness of the health risks of wireless radiation. EHT educates individuals, health professionals and communities about controllable environmental health risks and policy changes needed to reduce those risks. Currently, EHT is raising health concerns about wireless in schools and recommending safe hardwired internet connection installations. More information about EHT and its programs is located at EHtrust.org and on our Facebook page.

PROGRAM

Dr. Davis, Ph.D, Founder of the Environmental Health Trust and Award-Winning scientist and author of Disconnect–The Truth About Cell Phone Radiation will give an overview of how cell phones work and highlight some of the new evidence about brain cancer and reasons for concern, especially for children.

Mr. Clegg, CEO of Canadians for Safe Technology (C4ST) and former President of Microsoft Canada will discuss recent developments in Canada with respect to the federal parliament member’s bill that is now being proposed.

Ms. Newton, President of EMR Policy Institute, will address the different standards internationally for telecommunication tower and antenna emissions and discuss why most emissions are out of compliance and not monitored.
